Overview
Moon Juice is seeking an experienced Brand & Content Strategist to enhance and amplify our brand presence at every customer interaction. This role involves crafting and implementing a brand and content strategy that deepens brand loyalty, drives company growth, and supports our mission to empower women to feel confident in their bodies.
Role Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and realize culturally relevant brand activations including partnerships, collaborations, founder-driven initiatives, and community programs that increase Moon Juice's cultural relevance and distinctiveness.
- Manage the strategic cultural calendar to support brand awareness, affinity, and meaningful consumer conversation.
- Create consumer-facing ideas aligned with business priorities that are timely, relevant, useful, and engaging.
- Assess potential initiatives for brand alignment, audience appeal, cultural significance, and business impact to ensure ideas have genuine purpose.
- Simplify and refine activations to be sharp, distinctive, and authentic rather than forced or gimmicky.
- Identify opportunities for the brand to authentically connect with culture, extending existing permissions and innovating new entry points through creativity and conviction.
- Collaborate closely with creative, social, PR, growth, retail, product, and customer experience teams to align brand initiatives across departments and avoid siloed executions.
- Analyze feedback from activations and partnerships to continually improve strategy and execution.
- Contribute to building high-functioning brand teams that combine speed, creativity, and quality.
- Support project management by preparing briefs, timelines, recaps, planning, and workflows to move ideas efficiently from concept to delivery.
- Develop and implement monthly and seasonal editorial content themes for consistent storytelling across multiple channels including social, email, PR, and owned media.
- Create enduring content franchises and storytelling formats that scale effectively across platforms.
- Partner with channel leads to adapt stories appropriately for diverse media outlets.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and codify Moon Juice's brand voice and editorial style guide, serving as the brand's voice authority.
- Compose copy for a wide range of channels including email, social media, product storytelling, website, Amazon listings, brand campaigns, paid media, and physical retail assets.
- Develop messaging architectures, hooks, headlines, and narrative frameworks.
- Oversee consistency between brand positioning and voice execution across teams and content creators.
- Manage a copywriting resource, ensuring quality control and adherence to brand voice standards across all content.
Candidate Profile
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in brand marketing, content strategy, cultural marketing, or integrated marketing roles, preferably with both agency and in-house exposure.
- Proven track record of culture-centric campaigns, partnerships, activations, or experiences that garnered public attention and engagement.
- Expertise in conceptualizing and developing culturally significant brand moments from idea to execution.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, cultural trends, content consumption, creators, partnerships, and experiential activations.
- Background in health and wellness is essential.
- Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling, accurate storytelling for consumers.
- Aware of contemporary culture, media, and content consumption methods.
- Experience building content programs, editorial franchises, and ecosystems for brand storytelling.
- Ability to balance creative narrative with performance metrics.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic environment.
