Role Overview

The Associate Talent Manager will operate as an organized and proactive communicator handling a large volume of email communications and acting as a vital point of contact among internal teams. This role involves identifying and securing friends of the brand and editorial talent for Cond Nast branded content projects as well as white label client campaigns. A thorough understanding of the internal editorial talent network—including editors' upcoming projects, previous collaborative work with brands, and typical fee structures—is essential.

This person will also manage talent during live productions and significant Cond Nast events, working collaboratively with editorial, legal, HR, compliance, and commercial departments. Proficiency in Google Suite is required to maintain detailed trackers and spreadsheets that promote organized workflows, accurate expense tracking, and management of multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume correspondence and liaise across various internal departments.
• Book and coordinate talent for branded content and client campaigns.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of editorial talent and their associated projects and fees.
• Support talent management during on-site productions and major events.
• Collaborate closely with editorial, legal, human resources, compliance, and commercial teams.
• Utilize Google Suite tools to organize data, track expenses, and coordinate workflows effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in talent booking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Capacity to anticipate challenges and progressively solve problems independently.
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, solve problems creatively, and push processes forward.
• Strong aptitude for managing extensive communications and serving as a key liaison between teams.

Preferred Skills

• Established relationships with talent agencies, PR firms, digital influencer networks, record labels, model agencies, etc.
• Familiarity with contractual aspects of talent booking such as contract execution, negotiation, model booking, music clearances, content usage rights, and SAG regulations.
• Experience negotiating deals involving various talent categories including celebrities, chefs, entrepreneurs, social influencers, artists, athletes, musicians, and designers.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 annually, based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. Besides the basic salary and a competitive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
