Assistant Manager

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone energetic, driven, and passionate about fashion retail who enjoys leading a team and creating a strong store experience.

The Assistant Manager partners with the Store Manager to meet sales targets, strengthen team performance, and keep store operations running smoothly. This role is expected to lead by example, motivate the team to drive sales, and deliver excellent customer service while reflecting the brand’s culture and presentation standards.

When the Store Manager is away, the Assistant Manager takes charge of the store’s day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Help execute plans that support the store’s sales and profit goals.
• Manage core store functions such as opening and closing, maintaining cleanliness, replenishing stock, merchandising, customer support, and supervising staff.
• Deliver strong customer service and coach team members to do the same.
• Carry out operational requests from head office.
• Handle transactions at the cash register.
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
• Support the Store Manager in making sure workplace standards align with the employee manual.
• Take on other related tasks assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail experience in a leadership capacity.
• High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
• Strong ability to sell and provide customer service.
• Good time management and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to delegate work and take responsibility for outcomes.
• Ability to guide a team in a positive, inclusive way.

Physical and Availability Requirements

• Able to stand for long periods and climb a ladder.
• Comfortable moving, lifting, and handling merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds across the store.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation

The expected hourly pay for this role is between $20.00 and $22.00.
