About the Role
We seek a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager at our Circle K location in Helen, Georgia. This role offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, ideal for those aspiring to advance their careers in management within a stable company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in managing daily stationstore operations, including staff supervision and task delegation.
- Participating in hiring processes such as recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
- Maintaining high standards through effective merchandising, bookkeeping, and adherence to the food program.
- Ensuring fast, friendly, and customer-focused service while fostering a motivating work atmosphere.
- Demonstrating leadership qualities through teaching, motivating, and communication of plans and ideas.
- Handling cash and financial record-keeping accurately.
- Addressing safety and security concerns promptly.
Candidate Profile
- Leadership experience overseeing employees or management teams.
- Proficiency in recruitment and hiring procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to empathize and advocate for both customers and staff.
- Previous retail or supervisory experience preferred, particularly with food handling.
- High school diploma or college degree advantageous.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of standing or walking for up to eight hours per shift.
- Able to carry weights up to 30 pounds overhead for up to 30 minutes and occasionally up to 60 pounds at waist level.
- Capable of pushing or pulling with a force of up to 20 pounds.
- Frequent bending and twisting movements for up to an hour per shift.
- Manual dexterity needed for handling inventory and signage tasks, including climbing ladders.
