Overview

Join Adani Solar, India's leading vertically integrated solar PV manufacturer, as an Assistant Manager responsible for overseeing operations of water treatment systems including Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Pure Water Units (PUW). This role is critical to ensuring production of safe potable water, maintaining environmental compliance, optimizing resource utilization, and fostering continuous improvements in treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of Pure Water systems to produce high-quality potable water for consumption and industrial purposes through filtration and disinfection.
  • Supervise Effluent Treatment Plant and Sewage Treatment Plant functions to meet environmental discharge standards, minimizing environmental impact and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize manpower, chemical usage, and equipment deployment across PUW, ETP, and STP processes while developing and monitoring budgets for cost-effective and sustainable operations.
  • Conduct regular water quality testing and monitoring across all water treatment systems to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, addressing deviations swiftly.
  • Identify and implement water conservation technologies and best practices to reduce overall water usage and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, conduct routine safety audits, and enforce PPE usage to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Utilize data analytics to detect inefficiencies and spearhead innovations that reduce downtime, improve system performance, and decrease operational costs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the operations and maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Internal: Lead C&I, Chemist Engineer, Mechanical Lead, Package Incharge O&M (CAS & PCW), Area Incharge Chemical
  • External: Water Treatment Equipment Suppliers, Waste Management Companies, Consultants, Laboratories

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline essential; certifications in water/wastewater treatment or environmental management are advantageous.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in industrial water and wastewater treatment operations with demonstrated expertise in plant management, regulatory compliance, water conservation, and team leadership.
