Role Summary
The Assistant Interior Designer will work closely with the lead designer to develop innovative design concepts, create mood boards, and assist with client presentations. Daily responsibilities include planning spatial layouts, drafting design plans, coordinating the selection of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and preparing detailed construction drawings and related documentation. The position also requires visiting project sites, liaising with vendors, and monitoring the implementation of design specifications to ensure accuracy and timeliness. This full-time position is based onsite in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and involves close teamwork with designers, contractors, and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of interior design and architectural principles, capable of transforming ideas into functional and visually appealing interiors.
- Skilled in space planning and the selection of finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment that meet project needs.
- Experienced in preparing and understanding construction drawings and technical documents essential for site execution.
- An educational background in Interior Design, Architecture, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools, along with basic presentation software competencies.
- Excellent visual judgment, keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic project environment.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines efficiently.
