Role overview
As an Assistant Housekeeper at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, you will support the smooth running of housekeeping and laundry operations so guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet high standards. The role is focused on creating a clean, comfortable, and memorable stay experience that encourages repeat visits.
What you will do
- Maintain excellent standards across housekeeping and laundry services so guest rooms feel exceptional and well cared for.
- Organise regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to confirm that furniture, fixtures, equipment, linens, washrooms, lobby areas, and other spaces are clean and in good condition, especially when the Assistant Executive Housekeeper is unavailable.
- Handle special housekeeping needs for guests, VIPs, repeat guests, and club members.
- Respond to guest questions and complaints in a way that supports full guest satisfaction.
- Present yourself professionally and wear the uniform with pride.
- Develop positive working relationships with team members and help ensure team performance is properly managed.
- Keep the Executive Housekeeper informed on all matters affecting the housekeeping department.
- Support daily briefings, routine cleaning plans, and work allocation, while helping to ensure the department is staffed appropriately.
- Step in for the Assistant Executive Housekeeper when required.
- Coordinate with other departments whenever housekeeping issues affect them.
- Review the appearance, discipline, and efficiency of staff under your supervision and take prompt corrective action when needed.
- Assist with deep-cleaning initiatives and support the team during peak workload periods.
- Ensure housekeeping staff deliver courteous and fast service to guests.
- Help prepare and monitor the annual budget with an eye on improving profitability.
- Track and control departmental spending to help maximise profit.
- Repeat special guest handling tasks for VIPs, regular visitors, and club members as needed.
Requirements
- A diploma in Hospitality & Tourism is required.
- At least 3 years of supervisory-level experience, including management exposure, is needed.
