About The Ivy
The Ivy is a distinguished early childhood education center located in Dubai, delivering a customized curriculum aligned with Massachusetts Early Learning Standards within a Reggio-inspired environment. Our commitment lies in nurturing a child-centered, inquiry-based learning experience designed to inspire creativity, independence, and a lifelong passion for learning. Our approach is guided by child development specialists from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Role Overview
We are currently searching for a compassionate Assistant Early Childhood Educator to support our classroom teams at the Business Bay campus, which will open this September. This position offers a unique chance to build a career in early education by working alongside experienced Lead Educators right from the start in a premium, thoughtfully designed learning environment.
The centre features open, light-filled classrooms and natural play areas furnished with a rotating selection of age-appropriate, world-class resources. Operating hours are from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, with educators assigned shifts within this timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Lead Educators in creating engaging, hands-on learning activities and maintain a well-organized, inviting classroom atmosphere.
- Deliver attentive and nurturing care catering to children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs throughout the day.
- Assist in preparing materials and organizing learning sessions that encourage children's active participation and creativity.
- Observe and document children’s behaviors and developmental progress, sharing insights with the Lead Educator to contribute to comprehensive records.
- Facilitate positive communication with families alongside Lead Educators, providing warm feedback about children’s daily experiences.
- Collaborate effectively with the teaching team to foster a cohesive, supportive classroom environment reflecting The Ivy’s educational philosophy.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of high school diploma; a Bachelor’s degree related to Early Childhood Education or Education is advantageous.
- Hold a CACHE Level 2 or 3 certification (or equivalent) attested and aligned with KHDA standards; relevant work experience considered.
- At least one year of experience working with young children in an early childhood setting.
- A warm and engaging demeanor coupled with a true passion for early childhood education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Pediatric First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it before the school opening.
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic or French is considered a significant asset.
- Possession of a valid UAE visa or eligibility to work in the UAE; fulfillment of police clearance and background checks as per KHDA requirements.
- Availability from August for onboarding and pre-opening training.
Additional Details
Assignments will cover age groups from Nursery through KG2, with final classroom placement discussed during interviews.
