Assistant Dispatcher - Walk In Service

Role Overview

Join our dynamic team supporting the Walk In Service operated by the Out Of Hours Primary Care (GMED) service in Aberdeenshire. This key position involves coordinating clinical resources to ensure same-day access to urgent primary care without appointment requirements, part of a Scottish Government-supported national pilot.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage clinical resources for the Walk In Service operating daily from 12:00 to 20:00, including public holidays and festive periods.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and liaise confidently with the public and various departments or organizations.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working independently under pressure.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact maturely and confidently with diverse stakeholders. Previous healthcare support worker experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work Details

• Work location: Inverurie, Scotland.
• Varied shift patterns across a 4-week rotating schedule.
• Contract period: Fixed term of 12 months, with potential for Bank appointment thereafter.
• Service operates every day including public holidays.

• Pay enhancements are available for unsocial hour shifts.
