Role Overview

At Atlantic Superstore located in Woodstock, NB, the Asset Protection Representative (APR) plays a key role within one of the largest Asset Protection teams in Canada. This position helps create a secure, welcoming shopping environment by minimizing product loss and promoting asset protection awareness throughout the store operations. The APR works with management and caters to safety and investigative procedures that enhance profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prevent, identify, and respond to theft and fraud incidents within retail locations.
  • Work collaboratively with other APRs to investigate organized retail crime cases on provincial and national levels.
  • Maintain regular cooperation with local law enforcement agencies.
  • Conduct internal investigations, prepare evidence, and present findings for legal or arbitration proceedings.
  • Identify potential shrinkage risks relating to operational compliance.
  • Build and sustain partnerships through management meetings and staff coaching on asset protection policies.
  • Participate in store audits and community engagement events.
  • Adapt to various work schedules including days, evenings, nights, and weekends with a 40-hour work week offering some scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A valid Provincial Security Guard License is mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, Powers of Arrest, and familiarity with CCTV and surveillance systems.
  • Comfortable using Windows applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Professional, approachable demeanor paired with integrity and strong initiative suited to a dynamic retail environment.
