Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our European platform based in Berlin, focusing on managing and implementing asset strategies within the German essential real estate portfolio. The role supports all asset management functions including operational performance, commercial execution, and lease-related activities, collaborating closely with the VP and the wider team to deliver on business plans and value creation across the asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the German portfolio of essential real estate assets to enhance performance and unlock value.
• Serve as the local contact for asset-related queries, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Help execute asset strategies and plans throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Support leasing, tenant relations, lease negotiations, and transaction processes aimed at minimizing vacancies and increasing income.
• Work with leasing agents and consultants to oversee performance and ensure project milestones are met.
• Prepare financial analyses and business cases using market data and sector trends to guide asset initiatives.
• Participate in executing asset-level projects such as refurbishments, repositioning, and capital expenditure programs.
• Analyze asset performance data, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Contribute to creating and implementing asset business plans that align with investment goals.
• Collaborate with the London investment team to provide market intelligence and support underwriting and asset management functions.

Required Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in real estate asset management or leasing, preferably with retail or logistics assets.
• Hands-on experience supporting asset business plans and value creation projects including refurbishments and capex initiatives.
• Proven involvement in leasing activities such as tenant engagement, lease negotiation, and transaction execution.
• Existing contacts in the German occupier market, including food retailers and logistics operators, is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the German real estate landscape and tenant market dynamics.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, and confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Highly organized with attention to detail, accountability, and a proactive approach.
• Fluent in both German and English.
