Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of an experienced Cummins Technician, you will gain hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing Cummins engines and products across various sectors including automotive, industrial, marine, and mining. This role involves both practical on-the-job training and structured off-the-job education to ensure comprehensive skill development.

Training and Qualifications

• Earn while you learn in a paid apprenticeship.
• A mechanical starter toolkit will be provided upon joining.
• Obtain a Level 4 trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Road Transport).
• Complete off-the-job training with a partnered educational organization.
• Receive structured on-site training under expert supervision.
• Work on a diverse range of Cummins engine products.
• Advance your technical knowledge through dedicated product training facilitated by Cummins Technical Trainers.

Candidate Profile

• Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Passion for working with Cummins products and the broader industry.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
• Good proficiency in language, literacy, and numeracy.
• Willingness to work in different regional locations and rotate through various departments.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Preferably completed Year 13 or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong commitment to safety and wellbeing practices.
