Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and driven Air Services Manager to oversee and enhance our Air Export & Import functions. This key leadership role demands oversight of operational efficiency, fiscal performance, team growth, client satisfaction, and continuous improvements while ensuring full compliance with corporate policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and quotation processes for air export and import segments.
• Evaluate local charges and agent offers to reduce branch losses and boost profitability.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of air export/import products, pricing structures, and operational gateways.
• Lead team meetings and monthly reviews focusing on market insights, workload balance, and priorities.
• Collaborate with Sales by sharing market trends, freight updates, and operational expertise.
• Initiate and track strategies to promote revenue increase and operational efficiency.
• Oversee departmental profit and loss reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with airlines, trucking firms, and vendors for optimal service and cost management.
• Work closely with Trade Compliance to ensure regulatory compliance and audit preparedness.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts to elevate processes, systems, and customer relations.
• Support deployment of new technologies and operational system enhancements.
• Track departmental KPIs to meet budgetary, service, and productivity targets.
• Ensure SOPs and Desk-Level Procedures are current, well-documented, and adhered to.
• Analyze workflows and propose improvements that enhance service quality while controlling costs.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to develop team capabilities and morale.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or air cargo industries.
• Comprehensive understanding of the UAE air freight market, including export gateways and procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of global air freight operations, with mandatory air export experience.
• Mandatory expertise in handling Dangerous Goods.
• Strong business development background with reliable profit and loss management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with capability to inspire and guide teams.
• Sound financial insight regarding budgeting and operational profitability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or completion of introductory courses from IATA/FIATA.
• Exposure to roles within international logistics and supply chain sectors.
• Familiarity with airline pricing models, cargo capacity management, and market trends.
