Role Overview

As a Senior AI Product Manager in Mattel's Office of AI, you will spearhead the identification, development, and scaling of AI-driven enterprise products that create substantial business impact. Collaborating cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams, you'll turn AI concepts into practical deployments. This position demands navigating ambiguous challenges, influencing senior leadership, connecting emerging AI technologies with organizational goals, and managing execution in a complex enterprise setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement AI product strategies aligning with company priorities and objectives.
• Identify impactful AI opportunities across global business units.
• Assess emerging AI platforms, solutions, and vendors for strategic alignment.
• Translate AI innovations into scalable enterprise products supporting business outcomes.
• Develop balanced product roadmaps considering innovation potential, governance, and usability.
• Lead the full AI product lifecycle from concept through scale, including requirement gathering and launch.
• Create detailed product specifications, define user journeys, KPIs, and testing frameworks.
• Ensure solutions meet standards for interoperability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate extensively with technology, legal, privacy, and security stakeholders.
• Advocate for responsible AI principles such as transparency, privacy protection, and intellectual property safeguards.
• Ensure full compliance with internal AI governance policies and industry best practices.
• Promote user adoption by developing user-centric AI experiences and supporting organizational change management.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and responsible AI use throughout the enterprise.

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in product management, with direct experience in AI, machine learning, generative or agentic AI products.
• Proven track record of delivering and scaling AI products in complex organizations.
• Strong ability to author detailed requirements for AI-based workflows, APIs, and integrations.
• Effective communication and influence skills with executives and operational teams.
• Knowledge of AI governance frameworks, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects in large matrix organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in enterprise AI transformation or innovation-focused roles.
• In-depth knowledge of AI technology stacks such as OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, LangChain, and vector databases.
• Familiarity with AI workflow automation, knowledge management, and productivity tools.
• Experience scaling enterprise AI platforms with attention to security and interoperability.
• Expertise in optimizing large language models for performance and cost efficiency.
• Established frameworks for AI observability, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Advanced degree such as MBA or in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science preferred.
• Passion for emerging technologies and creative problem-solving.
