AI Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an inquisitive and hands-on AI Engineer to help build and continuously improve intelligent workflows within our platform. This position bridges model experimentation, AI-driven product creation, and full-stack implementation. You will work closely with company founders to prototype, integrate, and optimize large language models (LLMs) and other AI technologies throughout our product.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop smart workflows powered by foundational models such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, among others.
• Explore and apply multi-step reasoning techniques like Chain-of-Thought and agent-style methods.
• Perform fine-tuning on open-source models or conduct prompt tuning to improve task precision.
• Use rapid prototyping tools including Cursor and Claude Code for iterative product development.
• Collaborate across the tech stack to integrate AI functions involving Node.js, Supabase, and React.
• Run micro-model evaluations to validate various hypothesis-to-output processes.
• Leverage AI technologies to boost personal productivity and automate internal tooling.
• Contribute to the creation of an experimentation engine aimed at finding the best approaches for deploying AI models.
• Implement AI-powered voice agents within the platform.

Required Qualifications

• Background in startup environments with a flexible, fast-learning attitude and proactive ownership.
• Working knowledge of foundational AI models like OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, and Mistral.
• Expertise in prompt engineering, reasoning workflows, agent orchestration, and usage of AI tools.
• Hands-on experience in model fine-tuning and vector store applications.
• Daily practical usage of Cursor or Claude Code.
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js and Supabase/Postgres.
• Ability to design UI flows with React.
• Passion for embedding AI deeply into product design beyond simple tool use.
• A resourceful and humble startup mindset, comfortable in fast-paced, chaotic settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LiveKit or other real-time communication platforms.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Product-focused engineering perspective, supporting feature and UX design comprehension.
• Skill in converting abstract AI functionalities into intuitive user workflows.
