Accountant

Role Overview

Innovations Global is looking for a meticulous Accountant to oversee daily accounting activities across several legal entities. The chosen professional will be tasked with maintaining precise financial data, managing intercompany transactions, ensuring UAE VAT compliance, aiding financial reporting, and supporting both month-end and year-end closing processes. This position demands strong analytical skills, great attention to accuracy, and practical experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Key Duties

• Keep accurate intercompany reconciliation records and resolve discrepancies
• Manage related-party balances, schedules, and confirmations, ensuring resolution of any outstanding issues
• Document and maintain accurate accounting transactions
• Verify supporting documents and approvals to process vendor invoices and payment requests
• Compile key financial statements such as the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement
• Perform bank account, general ledger, and other reconciliations
• Maintain accounting books for multiple legal entities
• Prepare trial balances and assist with financial closing at month and year-end
• Ensure timely VAT submissions in line with UAE regulations, including preparation and filing of VAT returns
• Initiate vendor payments, obtaining the necessary approvals and documentation
• Manage petty cash with proper documentation and authorization
• Coordinate with subsidiaries to balance and eliminate intercompany accounts
• Address inquiries from the parent company regarding intercompany transactions
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts
• Analyze financial data and deliver valuable insights to management
• Support both internal and external audits by preparing schedules and relevant documents
• Adhere to accounting standards, internal controls, and tax regulations
• Identify and recommend improvements for accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• CPA qualification preferred; CMA certification is an advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Experience in UAE accounting is desirable
• Background handling multiple entities strongly favored

Skills and Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in SAP ERP system
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Familiarity with UAE VAT laws and compliance requirements
• Competence in preparing financial statements
• Strong skills in bank and account reconciliations

Additional Details

• Current salary range is AED 10,000 to AED 13,000 per month
• The position is outsourced through Innovations Global
