About Kiwi Packaging NZ Ltd
Kiwi Packaging NZ Ltd, trading as Kiwi Pak, is a direct importer and distributor of disposable packaging and dairy products. While primarily based in Hamilton and Tauranga, the company serves customers throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taupo, Gisborne, Napier, Hastings, Opotiki, Whakatane, Rotorua, Masterton, and Wellington regions. To meet increasing customer demand, a new fully operational center is being launched in Auckland.
Role Overview
The company is expanding its sales and operations team to enhance customer service delivery. The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Manager regularly and the Director of Sales monthly. Ideal candidates should demonstrate integrity, strong work ethic, dependability, enthusiasm, and be excellent team players with strong attention to detail, thriving in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Attain sales targets and budgets while maintaining product gross margins.
- Formulate sales strategies to hit goals and drive growth in sales volume and revenue.
- Build and sustain relationships with existing and new customers.
- Identify and leverage new business opportunities and product prospects.
- Conduct lead generation, referrals, and diligent follow-ups.
- Manage debt collection processes.
- Address customer complaints and inquiries effectively.
- Travel extensively across the Auckland region as required.
- Participate in overseas travel with leadership for supplier visits and trade shows.
- Attend monthly meetings in Hamilton or Tauranga, typically on the first Friday of each month.
- Prepare and present monthly branch reports discussing business growth strategies with the Business Manager.
- Drive overall sales growth and expand the customer base.
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Additional Job Details
This position includes technical sales, customer service, professional quoting, inventory control, and logistical support. Comprehensive training will be provided if necessary. Employment offers a performance-based remuneration package with flexible working hours. The job location is Auckland.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in sales and branch management, preferably within the packaging industry but not mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of the Auckland region is essential.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and persuasive skills.
- Experience in disposable packaging or other sales fields is highly regarded but not required.
