About the Role
SUEZ is committed to environmental stewardship and social responsibility, delivering innovative solutions for a sustainable future. We invite motivated individuals to join us at our Williton Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) as Yard Operatives, contributing to efficient resource management and positive environmental impact.
This permanent, full-time position offers 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) at a salary of £34,646.84 annually. Part-time opportunities may be available upon discussion.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting public visitors on site to optimize material recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation for materials leaving the site to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform general yard duties alongside operating forklift trucks (FLT counterbalance) – a loading shovel license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Manage container exchanges by coordinating load bookings with relevant personnel, ensuring proper segregation and storage space.
- Keep designated site areas clean and organized.
- Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and welfare regulations for employees and visitors to the site.
- Collaborate with colleagues to comply with site permits, legal requirements, and organizational policies.
- Undertake any other reasonable job-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold or be willing to obtain a forklift truck (FLT) counterbalance license.
- Previous experience using mobile plant equipment is advantageous; however, full training will be provided.
- Loading shovel license is desirable but not essential.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
- Adaptable work approach with willingness to cover shifts for holidays or sickness as needed.
- Enthusiastic team player aiming to join a dynamic site team focused on exceeding operational standards.
