Well Data Extraction & Document Control Specialist

Job Overview

GeoEnergy Group is seeking a meticulous Well Data Extraction & Document Control Specialist to join the team on site, supporting key projects within the Oil & Gas sector based in Abu Dhabi. Preference will be given to UAE residents.

Primary Responsibilities

• Extract and categorize technical information from End of Well Reports (EOWR) and Daily Drilling Reports.
• Recognize data related to drilling, logging, workover, cementing, testing, and other well services.
• Search for, retrieve, and validate well documents using document management systems such as Laserfiche or equivalents.
• Ensure meticulous document filing, apply metadata tags correctly, manage version control, and uphold document governance standards.
• Conduct quality inspections to guarantee data correctness and completeness.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams to enhance methods for data extraction and classification.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, Information Management, or closely related field.
• Prior drilling experience or in-depth knowledge of well operations is strongly desirable.
• Between 2 and 4 years of experience in well data management, drilling report analysis, or document control within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Familiarity with ECM platforms like Laserfiche, SharePoint, OpenText, Documentum, or similar.
• Capability to interpret complex technical well and drilling documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining data quality.
• Capability to operate independently in an onsite work setting.
