Role overview
This is a full-time casual water meter reading role based in the Southwest area, covering Campbelltown and Liverpool. The position involves travelling on foot along assigned routes to collect meter readings across the Northern/Northeast region. It suits someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors, and managing their own schedule with a good degree of autonomy.
No prior experience is needed, as full training will be provided.
Key duties
- Visit allocated routes and record water meter readings accurately and within the required timeframe.
- Read the various types of water meters installed at properties.
- Keep unread meters to a minimum and make extra efforts to secure additional reads when the number of no-reads is above average.
- Enter the correct no-read and comment codes for every meter that cannot be read.
- Work independently while following the route and operational requirements.
About you
- You are physically capable of walking long distances each day.
- You can comfortably cover around 15 to 20 km daily on allocated routes.
- You are happy to work outdoors in all weather and site conditions.
- You hold a valid Australian work visa or other appropriate work rights.
Selection requirements
Applicants who progress will need to complete a medical assessment and a police check.
