Job Description
The Warehouse Coordinator is essential for overseeing multiple tasks related to afternoon warehouse operations. Responsibilities cover various in-building functions such as Dispatch, Delivery Change Requests, Cash on Delivery (COD), and managing internal deliveries within the building.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the sorting and loading processes during the afternoon cycle.
- Inspect for damages within the building, repack items as necessary, and follow up on damage issues, including conducting onsite inspections when required.
- Manage pickups and deliveries for internal customers within the same building.
- Handle night dispatch duties, including Delivery Change Requests, self-lodging items, and sorting undeliverable packages.
- Ensure timely operation of afternoon and evening export shuttles, making sure no volume remains behind.
- Follow up with customers concerning undelivered packages to facilitate re-delivery attempts.
- Perform warehouse scanning tasks as needed.
- Act as backup for the PM Assistance Supervisor during their absences.
- Complete ad-hoc tasks that include self-lodge and self-collect activities, and cover onsite responsibilities when necessary.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- General knowledge of Singapore dispatch operations.
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
- Physical capability to carry items weighing up to 20 kg, though this is infrequent; approximately half of the work is desk-based.
- Demonstrates diligence and a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external customers, displaying a customer-focused demeanor and proper email and phone etiquette.
Work Conditions
This is a fully onsite position based in Singapore. The role requires working 5.5 days a week on an alternating Saturday schedule. Working hours are from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturdays.
