Job description
Role Overview
Zof AI is recruiting a UX Designer for its Accra office to contribute to innovative AI products focusing on how engineers trust autonomous agents that modify code. This full-time position involves leading research and interaction design related to code review workflows, enabling engineers to efficiently accept, reject, or adapt automatic code changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the user interface and experience for engineers interacting with AI-proposed code revisions.
- Conduct user research with engineers and quality assurance teams to uncover how trust in automated systems is built and maintained.
- Design ways to display evidence, reproduction steps, and validation outcomes to facilitate fast and informed code review decisions.
- Translate research insights into user flows, wireframes, and interaction specifications for engineering implementation.
- Create prototypes to test interaction patterns regarding AI agent status, uncertainty, and errors.
- Expand the design system by adding components suited for reviewing AI-generated work.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Utilize AI tools daily to accelerate the iteration from research questions to functional prototypes.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience designing comprehensive, complex product flows from start to finish.
- A portfolio demonstrating impactful user research that influenced design choices.
- Proficiency with various research techniques including interviews and usability testing.
- Capability to progress fluidly from research to wireframing and interactive prototyping.
- Understanding of design systems with an emphasis on modular components.
- Comfortable collaborating with engineering teams and designing for technically adept audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic work environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in designing tools targeted at developers or technical enterprise users.
- Background in developing review, approval, or moderation workflow designs.
- Familiarity with reading source code and understanding Git workflows.
- Some experience prototyping using code or working within front-end codebases.
