Job description
Position Summary
Join the UGL Energy and Industrial team as a Trenching Operator in a full-time, FIFO role based in the Greater Adelaide Area with a 3/1 roster. This role involves operating trenching equipment, digging trenches, and installing electrical cables and pipes in construction and renewable energy projects.
Experience and Skills Required
- Proven experience as a trenching operator in construction environments, including operating trenching machines and installing utilities.
- Ability to interpret site plans and detect underground infrastructure prior to excavation.
- Familiarity with renewable energy or utilities projects is essential.
- Demonstrated dedication to safety, quality standards, and environmental compliance on-site.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Key Qualifications
- At least two years' experience performing a similar role on construction or industrial sites.
- Competent in operating trenchers and heavy machinery, holding relevant plant operating tickets.
- Possession of a Medium Rigid (MR) vehicle licence.
- Strong knowledge of excavation safety and underground service protocols, especially in renewable settings.
- Valid Construction White Card certification.
