About the Role
This position plays a central role in overseeing all facets of travel management for our organization, specializing in converting customer requests into comprehensive travel itineraries. Using the Galileo GDS system, you will be responsible for quoting fares, managing changes and cancellations, ensuring compliance with travel documentation, and collaborating with suppliers to guarantee seamless travel experiences for both leisure and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate comprehensive travel proposals for clients, encompassing flights, hotel bookings, ground transportation, and additional services. Adapt and update itineraries proactively in response to alterations or cancellations.
- Handle daily ticketing operations and reservations using Galileo and Travelport systems. This includes applying correct fares, processing timely ticket issuance, and managing changes or refund procedures accurately.
- Assemble, check, and validate all necessary documentation in advance of travel, ensuring completeness for visas, permits, travel insurance, and contracts with suppliers. Report inconsistencies prior to confirmation.
- Develop and nurture strong professional relationships with airlines, hotel providers, tour guides, and logistics partners to secure competitive rates and service reliability.
- Maintain accurate internal records and booking logs for reference and auditing, providing easily accessible reports as required.
- Collaborate with the operations, finance, and client service departments to resolve booking challenges, align schedules, and deliver seamless, end-to-end travel services.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Tourism Management, Tours and Travel, or a comparable field from a recognized institution.
- At least 24–36 months of direct experience using GDS platforms, especially Galileo or Travelport, including expertise in ticketing processes, fare regulations, and PNR (Passenger Name Record) administration.
- Strong client-focused attitude with a friendly yet professional approach in all client and supplier interactions.
- Proven record of effective teamwork and interdepartmental communication while coordinating complex travel arrangements.
- Keen organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, able to handle multiple tasks and bookings accurately.
