About the Role

Join Queensland Rail as a Trackworker and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the rail infrastructure that supports thousands of passengers and freight services daily across Queensland. This position involves hands-on involvement in the upkeep, repair, and building of railway tracks to ensure safety and efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Be reliable, self-driven, and enthusiastic about acquiring new skills.
• Prior experience in rail, civil construction, or similar labor-intensive roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Having an MR or HR truck license is preferred.

Additional Information

The role requires travel across the entire Queensland Rail Network, including South East Queensland and regional locations, with approximately 50% of time spent away from the Brisbane Depot at Eagle Farm.

Working hours typically follow a 10 days on, 4 days off schedule, usually spanning Monday to the following Wednesday, depending on track closures. Night shifts and weekend work (approximately every second weekend) are expected, with penalty rates applied for additional hours.

Applicants may be required to undergo pre-employment alcohol and drug testing, psychometric evaluations, health assessments, and background checks including criminal history and credit screening.
