For over 75 years, our consolidated entities have specialized in creating and managing built environments that support local economies and communities. We pride ourselves on fostering a workplace culture that embraces stability, diversity, inclusion, camaraderie, recognition, and work-life balance.

Role Overview

As a Technical Solutions Specialist in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be pivotal in deploying best practice digital solutions across new and existing projects nationwide. This hybrid role merges operational tasks with business performance, offering an excellent opportunity to develop into a commercially savvy engineer by applying your technical, analytical, and leadership expertise directly with operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard and train new hires, including technicians and office staff, on Dexterra’s digital platforms like DOD and client portals.
  • Administer system setup by creating user profiles and accounts for new clients and technicians, managing reach portals as needed.
  • Assist in advancing digital tools by evaluating upgrades, proposing operational efficiencies, and piloting improved processes.
  • Analyze client needs, asset data, and service parameters to build well-supported operational models and dynamic dashboards with custom widgets for enhanced data insights.
  • Interpret facility condition reports and CMMS data to design maintenance strategies and support cost, productivity, and performance models.
  • Support operational reviews, data accuracy, troubleshooting at sites, audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Identify performance optimization opportunities for facilities' efficiency and service delivery.
  • Contribute technical expertise to new business proposals, assessing operational risks and constraints.
  • Collaborate extensively with teams across Operations, Health & Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Business Development.

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Systems, or related technical disciplines.
  • Technologically adept with proficiency in learning, configuring, and instructing digital systems.
  • Experience or enthusiasm for data visualization, dashboard development, and widget templating.
  • Exceptional communication and training abilities for instructing system users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with creative thinking skills.
  • Curiosity, flexibility, and eagerness to learn through practical application.
  • Comfortable working both in office settings and field environments, with willingness to travel.

Additional Information

  • Opportunity to join a vital and growing industry.
  • Employee referral incentives and clear pathways for career growth.
  • Be part of a financially stable organization expanding when others are downsizing.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with accommodations provided during hiring as requested.
