About Notion
Notion is a collaborative AI-driven workspace designed for teams and agents to work together seamlessly. It combines knowledge management, project tracking, meetings, and AI tools all in one platform to make work faster, more transparent, and integrated. Millions of users from individuals to large companies rely on Notion to run their operations.
The employees, called Notinos, embody the mission to create meaningful, lasting work emphasizing human-centric collaboration. The goal is not merely launching new features but setting the standard for teamwork in the AI era — from building business systems to managing AI agents to automating routine tasks — all aimed at giving customers more time for their essential work.
Role Overview
We’re seeking an Early Career Recruiter passionate about reinventing university and entry-level hiring. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on building innovative recruiting programs and experiences that don’t yet exist. You'll be deeply involved in strategy and execution around employer branding, candidate engagement, and assessment design tailored to early career talent in the context of AI transformation.
In collaboration with cross-functional teams from Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People, you will shape and lead Notion’s full early career recruitment journey—from outreach to evaluation, talent development, and converting interns and new graduates into full-time Notinos.
This role operates onsite in San Francisco with in-office presence required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, fostering collaboration during core workdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust early career recruiting programs, including internships and pipelines for recent graduates and candidates with 0-2 years of experience, ensuring they are sustainable, scalable, and uniquely reflect Notion's culture.
- Innovate talent sourcing beyond traditional campus recruitment by leveraging communities, hackathons, open-source projects, AI-driven sourcing tools, and creative outreach methods that meet candidates where they are.
- Design inspired candidate evaluation frameworks that challenge standard interview processes and reveal how early career candidates think, learn, and create rather than focusing solely on existing knowledge.
- Collaborate with Communications, Design, and People teams to build and express a compelling employer brand that conveys why Notion is the ideal place to start a career, activating this across multiple channels, events, and touchpoints.
- Coach and prepare hiring managers and interviewers to evaluate early career candidates fairly and thoroughly, maintaining high standards and nuanced understanding.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience, particularly with early career, university, or program-based hiring.
- A builder's mindset that thrives on creating new programs and solutions rather than managing existing ones.
- Curiosity and passion for discovering and assessing emerging talent, including experimenting with new sourcing channels, evaluation methods, and candidate engagement strategies.
- Strong instincts for shaping employer branding and enhancing candidate experience, understanding each interaction’s impact on perception and trust.
- Proven ability to balance strategic planning and practical execution effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with candidates, hiring teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Comfort using data analytically to inform decisions, detect trends, and advocate for improvements.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience building or contributing to early career hiring programs from the ground up.
- Hands-on experimentation with alternative sourcing or evaluation methods, with learned insights to share.
- Deep knowledge of early career hiring landscapes in engineering and technical fields.
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for using Notion as a platform and tool.
Compensation and Location
Competitive cash salary, equity, and benefits are offered, with compensation determined by factors such as location, role complexity, and candidate experience. For employees based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range spans $135,000 to $151,000 annually.
Additional Notes
Applicants acknowledge data processing according to Notion’s Global Recruiting Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
