Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Engineer based in the United States with strong capabilities in common business technologies and diverse cloud infrastructure environments. This role requires advanced technical problem-solving skills, up-to-date knowledge on technology trends, and the capacity to quickly adopt new methods. The ideal candidate is personable, communicating effectively across all business levels, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all technical aspects of new client onboarding to ensure seamless, timely, and outstanding partnership initiation.
- Lead hands-on technical tasks for client onboarding (goal: within 60 days), client offboarding, and Sidekick projects, then collaborate with Client Success and Service Managers upon completion.
- Deploy essential services like Basekit, Acronis, Blackpoint, and Ironscales, including configuration of user accounts, DNS/DKIM/SPF settings, routing, and alerts.
- Coordinate system access transitions, liaising with previous IT teams for tool removal and knowledge transfers, managing platform migrations such as Microsoft or Google services.
- Keep documentation up to date in ConnectWise, ITGlue, Rocket Lane, and ensure all IT stacks and client details are accurately reflected.
- Track project progress in Fleet and OBOF platforms to meet deadlines.
- Assist onsite technicians for Network Connect clients and document technical specifics in ITGlue.
- Conduct secure and thorough technical offboarding including access removal, data handling, and clean transition.
- Support assigned Sidekick projects with technical expertise aligned with onboarding quality standards.
- Enhance onboarding processes and templates by collaborating with leadership teams.
- Properly archive project information and confirm closure within all relevant systems.
- Build client trust and ensure a positive initial experience throughout the onboarding process.
Performance Metrics and Goals
- Achieve over 90% of projects delivered on budget and within the timeline (under 60 days).
- Maintain an average of 6+ billable hours logged daily.
- Maintain a partner Net Promoter Score above 70.
- Complete more than 20 Partnership Launch projects quarterly.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in information technology.
- Ability to maintain a dedicated home office with dependable internet connection for remote work.
- Available during Pacific Time working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive annual salary between $65,000 and $70,000 USD, dependent on experience, and an open-ended contract.
