Team Member - Mareeba

About the Role

Ampol is seeking a Retail Team Member for its Mareeba store in Queensland. This position sits within a customer-focused convenience retail environment where the goal is to make every visit quick, friendly, and hassle-free for shoppers picking up fuel or everyday essentials.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will help keep the store running smoothly through day-to-day retail support. Your work will include maintaining merchandise presentation, managing stock, handling inventory tasks, and completing point-of-sale transactions. You will also be responsible for cash balancing at the end of shifts to ensure everything is accurate and secure.

Key Duties

• Provide strong customer service and aim to go beyond basic expectations.
• Assist the Store Manager with routine store operations.
• Work cooperatively with the wider team to maintain a positive store environment.
• Follow safety and quality standards carefully, with close attention to detail.
• Be available for a rotating 7-day schedule, including overnight and weekend shifts.

Experience and Qualifications

Applicants are ideally expected to have prior experience in retail or customer-facing work. The ability to use a POS system and manage cash correctly is important, along with good communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility across all days of the week, particularly nights and weekends, is essential.
