Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Relevant or transferable expertise in Sustainability/ESG administration, ideally within retail or a related sector.
- Proven ability to collaborate with suppliers or external partners for data acquisition and validation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Adaptable with a commitment to continuous learning and adeptness in managing change and new challenges.
- Prior understanding of sustainability concepts and motivation to enhance the company's sustainability performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support Sustainability and Category teams with daily data gathering and reporting related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policies to help meet the company’s sustainability goals.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, Category teams, and the Sustainability team to facilitate effective cooperation on ESG initiatives.
- Ensure product compliance with crucial sustainability regulations such as EUDR, CBAM, PPWR, and ESPR.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Supplier ESG teams for obtaining relevant data crucial for ESG reporting and compliance requirements.
- Interpret complex datasets and regulatory information into clear insights for internal stakeholders, keeping commercial teams informed on key sustainability issues affecting products and suppliers.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Excellent communication and organizational capabilities paired with a passion for team collaboration and influence.
- High attention to detail, producing accurate, quality work while adhering to deadlines and engaging multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to collate and analyze data using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
- Familiarity with European Union regulations and standards related to sustainability would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
