Overview
We are partnering with Huawei, a globally renowned technology leader, to recruit a seasoned Supply Chain Manager. This role requires overseeing comprehensive supply chain activities including procurement, logistics, inventory control, and supplier relations within a fast-evolving and innovative business setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the head of supply chain operations for the representative office, architect a nationwide supply network that anticipates client requirements and delivers efficient, competitive solutions ensuring achievement of business targets and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute supply, delivery, and logistics strategies aligned with corporate and regional business plans, customized to meet local market demands, while continually enhancing the office’s supply chain capabilities.
- Lead full-cycle order delivery management by early engagement in projects to assess logistical needs and supply chain hurdles, crafting plans that ensure timely, precise, high-standard, and cost-efficient product deliveries.
- Formulate supply plans for auxiliary materials and manage the procurement lifecycle from purchase request to supply monitoring, inspection, and payment authorization.
- Oversee import/export customs clearance processes by applying regulatory knowledge and nurturing customs relationships to facilitate seamless clearance.
- Manage all aspects of goods handling including receipt, storage, shipping, documentation, cargo protection, inventory accuracy, materials preparation, and stock control.
- Develop and supervise a pool of logistics service providers ensuring high performance standards, while controlling customs and logistics expenditure through budgeting, supervision, and payment validation.
- Drive continual enhancements of order processing, logistics, and procurement workflows to boost efficiency, ensure compliance, and maintain safety standards within the office.
- Steer material demand forecasting for major clients, producing 1-2 year strategic plans and executing planning cycles monthly to yearly, identifying material risks early to shape project plans and implement mitigation schemes.
- Coordinate closely with Asia Pacific and Headquarters planning teams to maintain alignment with global policies and standards.
Candidate Profile
- Educational background in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of extensive experience in supply chain or logistics roles.
- Profound expertise in supply chain and business planning with strong command of ERP and APS systems; familiarity with project supply management, product configuration, and supply network design.
- Excellent customer demand analysis capabilities including identifying pain points, compliance risks, ensuring continuity, and converting these into actionable product specifications.
- Strong skills in designing product availability frameworks involving scenario-based optimization and integrating supply systems.
- Proven aptitude in project operations management, especially in leading supply chain design or special projects.
- Effective communicator with powerful influencing skills, capable of engaging stakeholders and driving decision-making at various organizational levels.
- Experience in managing people is considered advantageous.
