About Safewill
Safewill is on a mission to revolutionize estate planning and end-of-life services by leveraging innovative, user-friendly technology. With support from notable investors such as King River Capital, Westpac’s Reinventure Fund, Carthona Capital, and Flying Fox Ventures, the company is developing a digital solution that aims to make estate planning more accessible, affordable, and tailored to today’s needs.
Role Overview
As the Strategy & Operations Manager at Safewill, you will play a pivotal role in guiding complex business decisions and turning strategic ideas into tangible results. This high-ownership position requires both analytical prowess and the ability to execute initiatives across various domains, including collaborating with Enterprise, Growth, Product, and Executive teams. Your core objective will be to pinpoint where the company can generate the most value and to ensure effective delivery of these opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with company leaders to determine pressing business challenges and high-impact opportunities.
- Provide clarity to undefined problems and guide critical decision-making processes.
- Analyze operational, commercial, and customer data to extract actionable insights.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, forecasts, and strategic recommendations, highlighting different pathways and trade-offs.
- Oversee and drive cross-functional initiatives from the decision stage through to successful implementation.
- Establish clear action plans with defined responsibilities, milestones, and success metrics.
- Monitor progress, address barriers, and step in to execute operations as necessary.
What You’ll Bring
- Background in resolving intricate commercial, strategic, or operational issues—potentially from strategy consulting, investment banking, technology, or commercial strategy roles.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, financial modeling, and data analysis tools (such as SQL) to independently investigate and interpret data.
- Proven ability to translate analytical findings into practical solutions and delivered results.
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of business value creation.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas and coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Intellectual curiosity, meticulous attention to detail, and initiative.
Work Environment and Company Values
- Decisions are driven by strategic thought but validated through action and measurable outcomes.
- Data is central to all decisions, ensuring a focus on relevant customer and operational factors.
- Ownership follows through from planning to implementation and iteration for delivered results.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration starts early and continues throughout the solution-building process.
- We strive for both quality and efficiency using streamlined operating models instead of unnecessary bureaucracy.
- There is space to experiment with AI and emerging technologies to generate real business value.
SAFE Values at Safewill
- Speed: Purposeful and swift execution.
- All-in: Team success is paramount.
- Find the Impact: Focused on what matters most.
- Elevate: Commitment to continuous improvement.
