Strategy Operations Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a Strategy & Operations Consultant at levels ranging from Associate to Director to join a reputable strategic advisory firm expanding into operational consulting. This fully remote role based anywhere in the United States offers compensation dependent on level, including a base salary plus a significant bonus ranging from 50% to 120%.

The firm specializes in advising private equity sponsors, lenders, and corporate clients primarily in the aerospace, defense, government services, commercial aviation, and space industries. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a well-established advisory firm known for transaction advisory, while actively contributing to the launch and growth of its new operational consulting practice focused on post-acquisition value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support operational due diligence and value creation projects.
• Collaborate with private equity sponsors and portfolio company executives on strategic initiatives.
• Identify and recommend improvements in operational performance, organizational efficiency, and profitability.
• Perform operational assessments, benchmarking, and detailed performance analyses.
• Formulate executive-level recommendations alongside actionable implementation roadmaps.
• Engage directly with senior leaders on complex and high-profile client engagements.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in the aerospace, defense, and/or government services sector is essential.
• Background in strategy consulting, operational consulting, transaction advisory, or value creation roles.
• Demonstrated support for mergers and acquisitions, private equity sponsors, or corporate strategic projects.
• Expertise in operational due diligence, post-merger integration, performance improvement, or operational transformation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities accompanied by excellent client-facing communication skills.
• Capability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced consulting setting.
