Role Summary

As a Retail Store Person, you will be a pivotal part of our retail operations, working energetically across the store floor and warehouse. This role involves supporting daily store functions, engaging with customers during order pickups, and ensuring smooth stock handling behind the scenes.

Key Duties

• Carefully and accurately load weekly trucks and containers
• Assist customers during order collections, ensuring a positive experience
• Support sales staff by managing stock movements to the shop floor
• Precisely receipt goods into our operational system
• Assemble furniture with care and attention to detail
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, contributing to a safe work environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in both store and warehouse areas
• Work collaboratively within the team, use initiative, solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced setting

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience in roles related to warehousing and distribution
• Proficiency with computers, including email and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• A genuine passion for helping customers and achieving results
• Physical fitness to handle manual handling tasks such as lifting and moving various products
• Strong communication skills
• Dependable, committed, self-motivated, and proactive with a positive attitude

Additional Information

• Position requires frequent manual lifting, carrying, and moving of furniture items of various sizes, necessitating physical capability for safe handling
• Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, residents, or hold a valid visa allowing work rights in New Zealand
• Work schedule includes shifts on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
