Role Summary
The Stock Controller will oversee all stock and inventory activities at the site. They will be responsible for handling stock assets, including receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing merchandise, and maintaining accurate records through established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders, manage stock receipt, storage, issuance, and maintain optimal stock levels by distributing supplies as required.
- Prepare inventory documentation, maintain stock records using computerized systems, and verify supply invoices against purchase orders.
- Organize goods systematically within the stock area to facilitate easy storage and retrieval while ensuring their physical safety in the warehouse.
- Conduct regular stock takes and work closely with designated staff for periodic stock verification.
- Perform daily physical stock counts and generate reports accordingly.
- Ensure items delivered by suppliers match the purchase orders in terms of specification, quantity, and condition.
- Promptly update stock activities such as receipts and returns in Odoo and Vista systems.
- Generate reports related to inventory adjustments for damaged or spoiled goods and coordinate purchasing, inventory, and warehousing operations.
- Implement stock monitoring strategies to prevent overstocking, aging inventory, and stock shortages.
- Identify local third-party alternatives to suppliers in case of supply chain failures, especially for critical items such as bread buns and NBC products.
- Manage stock issuing at the site and maintain daily stock record keeping with organized deployment of stock cards.
- Oversee stock document management and communicate inventory updates to the Support Office Team by uploading documentation to OneDrive.
- Update inventory worksheets daily and compile weekly and monthly stock reports.
- Review audit reports regularly to monitor user activities, detect frequent transaction deletions, and investigate irregularities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of HND or B.Sc. degree with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with accounting concepts, principles, methodologies, and terminology within a multidisciplinary and multifunctional context.
- Residency in Ilorin is mandatory; accommodation is not provided.
