Founded in 1970, Browns Fashion began with a landmark boutique in London and has grown under Farfetch ownership since 2015, operating its flagship store in Mayfair alongside a prominent online store.

Role Overview

As a full-time Stock Controller based at Browns’ Mayfair boutique, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless stock and supply chain operations. Working closely with the Customer Experience team, you will manage inventory, maintain accurate records, and help deliver an exceptional customer journey by supporting both physical and digital sales channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform thorough stock audits to reduce discrepancies and stock loss.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data to identify variances.
  • Investigate stock inconsistencies across multiple locations and resolve them promptly.
  • Monitor daily stock levels aligning with sales forecasts and business requirements.
  • Manage receipt of store deliveries by verifying quantities and quality, accurately logging items into inventory systems.
  • Process shopfloor product and customer order deliveries, ensuring proper system updates and storage placement.
  • Handle returns of obsolete stock back to the warehouse within set timelines and policies.
  • Maintain an organized, well-labeled, and safe stockroom environment.
  • Supervise stock movements between the warehouse distribution centre and store efficiently.
  • Support stockroom administrative tasks, including replenishment of online orders.
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing stock management processes to enhance accuracy.
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to prevent stock loss and standardize procedures.
  • Generate weekly and monthly inventory reports and resolve queries related to online order discrepancies.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in stockroom operations or stock controller roles is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software such as Storm, D365, and Shopify is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently as well as support and cooperate with the broader team, including personal shoppers and loss prevention.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and adaptable to changing priorities with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to multitask effectively.
