Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Steward position is based in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh, at Orchha Palace and Resorts. The role focuses on keeping dining spaces, service points, and back-of-house food service areas clean, orderly, and ready for use. Core duties include arranging and clearing tables, polishing glassware and cutlery, restocking service supplies, and supporting food and beverage preparation and service as instructed.
The Steward also helps the service team throughout meal service, maintains hygiene and safety practices, handles guest requests politely, and works closely with kitchen and restaurant colleagues to keep operations running smoothly. Following resort procedures and contributing proactively to efficient restaurant service are important parts of the job.
Qualifications
Candidates should have strong guest-handling skills, clear communication ability, and a practical understanding of food and beverage service. A willingness to learn through training and build service skills is expected, along with awareness of hygiene and sanitation standards in hospitality environments. The work requires the ability to remain on one’s feet for long periods and carry out physically active tasks safely.
Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant is an advantage, though it is not compulsory. A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required, and additional hospitality training will be considered beneficial.

The role involves regular interaction with guests and coordination with kitchen and service teams. Attention to cleanliness, safety, organization, and courteous service is essential throughout daily operations.
