About the Role
Astute's Renewables division is collaborating with a prominent player in the worldwide energy market, managing an extensive portfolio of renewable energy assets and fostering a supportive work environment. This opportunity is open to both newly qualified and seasoned electricians holding Level 3 electrical certifications. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal functionality of large-scale solar installations.
- Conduct operations and maintenance across multiple solar sites primarily in Kilkenny and surrounding areas, with occasional travel as required.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations during task execution.
- Test DC and AC electrical systems to identify and diagnose faults.
- Perform firmware upgrades and utilize computer diagnostics to monitor asset performance.
- Obtain Authorised Person status following training.
- Carry out regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of solar systems.
- Analyze operational data to detect patterns and recommend improvements.
- Support auxiliary duties such as solar panel cleaning, site ground maintenance, and CCTV oversight as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility to assist outside the usual area when business demands.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of Level 3 electrical qualifications.
- Knowledge of the 18th edition wiring regulations.
- Preferably holds C&G 2391 certification or its equivalent.
- HSE safety qualification is advantageous.
- Prior experience in solar energy or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is highly desirable.
- Valid UK driving license is mandatory.

- Willingness to travel and work beyond assigned geographic areas when necessary.
- Proficiency in engaging with third parties and resolving technical issues.
- Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Motivation to learn continuously and contribute meaningfully to renewable energy operations.
