About the Role
As a Software Engineer III at UKG, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack web applications. Your expertise in software development and best practices in design patterns and application architecture will enable you to deliver high-quality solutions that meet product requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain software solutions utilizing technologies like JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, CSS, VB.NET, and PostgreSQL.
- Investigate complex issues throughout the entire application stack, from database to front-end browser, providing practical solutions.
- Create clean, maintainable, and testable code within a continuous integration environment.
- Engage in code reviews to enhance product quality, share knowledge, and minimize defects.
- Work collaboratively with product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Suggest enhancements to development tools, methodologies, and technologies to improve team efficiency.
Candidate Profile
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Generally over 5 years of hands-on experience building full-stack web applications using JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, CSS, VB.NET, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with development best practices including version control, debugging, testing, and continuous integration.
- Effective communication skills in English and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within Agile software development teams.
- Knowledge of test-driven development methodologies.
- Understanding of database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting performance issues.
- Proficiency in using Git or similar version control systems.
- Solid grasp of design patterns, algorithms, and core software engineering concepts.
