Role Overview

As a software engineer at Auvik, you will be part of an agile team creating network management services that monitor millions of devices, tackling significant technical challenges. Your contributions will help evolve software solutions that customers trust and use globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect microservices to ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and high quality.
• Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes orchestration.
• Design communication protocols for scalable and distributed systems.
• Develop efficient and reliable code for collectors deployed at numerous customer locations.
• Create tools leveraging network data standards like Netflow and Syslog.
• Expand the product’s capabilities through your networking devices and protocols expertise.
• Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to deliver customer-centric software components.
• Use AI-enhanced techniques for complex engineering solutions, including automation, intelligent tooling, and data-driven debugging to optimize scalability and reliability across the software stack.

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in writing high-quality code and designing architectures, preferably with Go or JavaScript.
• Experience in microservices architecture design and development.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS.
• Skills in building dependable, scalable systems on Kafka streaming technology.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum.
• Proficient understanding of CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment processes.
• Passion for mentoring junior and mid-level developers.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is between 101000 and 131000 CAD annually.
