Overview
The British International School Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for a Social Worker who will play a vital role in supporting students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic wellbeing. This position involves close collaboration with families, school staff, and external agencies to foster an inclusive and nurturing school community.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group social work support to students.
- Assist in planning and implementing effective intervention strategies.
- Respond to crisis situations promptly, including safeguarding concerns.
- Build and maintain positive partnerships between students' homes and the school environment.
- Identify and help overcome barriers to student learning and engagement.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records related to student welfare.
- Contribute positively to the school's inclusive and supportive culture.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Services, or a related discipline.
- Have at least two years of experience working with youth in social work, preferably in an educational setting.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Show strong organizational ability and professionalism when handling sensitive issues.
- Be passionate about supporting students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
