Site Surveyor

Role Overview

The Site Surveyor is charged with ensuring precise surveying, setting out, and dimensional accuracy for steel structure installations on construction sites. This role necessitates expertise in operating Total Station and various surveying devices, creating coordinate-based technical drawings, and interpreting complex structural and architectural plans. The surveyor provides critical assistance to both site and engineering teams to guarantee exact placement, alignment, and validation of steel components.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting site surveys and accurate setting out of steel structures.
• Operating surveying tools and equipment proficiently.
• Preparing detailed drawings and coordinate documentation.
• Providing on-site technical support to project teams.
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards and site safety regulations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least four years’ experience in site surveying, including a minimum of one year working in the UAE, preferably on steel structure projects.
• Proficient use of Total Station and related surveying instruments.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and producing coordinate-based drawings.
• Comprehensive understanding of structural steel installation processes.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret various technical drawings.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Capable of working independently and providing support in fast-paced construction environments.
• Experience surveying for façade steel, canopies, mezzanines, and complex steel structures.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination, including IFC extraction and Revit integration.
• Familiar with UAE site safety protocols and practices.
