About the Role
Join Nuverse, a gaming business division within ByteDance, where the Game Technology team oversees the entire game lifecycle. This includes development, testing, operations, site reliability engineering (SRE), and quality assurance for both user-facing and operating systems, ensuring robust support for game development and release. You will be integral in creating comprehensive, systematic solutions to support stable game operations and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement deployment architectures for overseas game operations, guaranteeing stable online service performance.
- Manage day-to-day platform server maintenance, oversee online environment modifications, conduct data backups, monitoring, and alarm management.
- Diagnose and resolve issues impacting essential game services, assist in analyzing and optimizing performance bottlenecks, and respond promptly to any live environment incidents.
- Collaborate with teams across locations to continuously enhance operation and maintenance tools such as version publishing systems, monitoring setups, alarm systems, logging, traceability, and network efficiency.
- Maintain key SLA metrics for games and ensure efficient, cost-effective, high-quality, and secure operational support.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Practical knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud services, including load balancing, database solutions, networking configurations, and storage management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, including setup, deployment, resource management, and version release strategies.
- Ability to create actionable solutions tailored to complex business challenges and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders to ensure execution.
- A strong sense of ownership toward responsibilities, enthusiasm for adopting new technologies, and fast learning and implementation capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least three years of relevant experience in internet industry operations or development.
- Experience working within the gaming sector or managing platform-oriented internet products is advantageous.
