Job Summary

We are looking for a strategic and data-oriented Shopper Marketing & Program Manager to lead the positioning of our brand in retail, managing everything from annual plans and retailer engagement to executing promotional launches. This position serves as the main connector between Sales, Marketing, Operations, and external partners, ensuring retail programs are flawlessly rolled out to enhance sales growth, shopper interaction, and brand development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement yearly retail marketing strategies tailored for different retail accounts.
  • Manage both in-store and digital shelf presence, including messaging, visual merchandising, displays, point-of-sale materials, and retailer-specific creative content.
  • Collaborate on retailer reset projects by creating activation strategies, communication themes, and sales materials targeted to each retailer.
  • Lead retailer-focused marketing initiatives such as promotions, retail media, search campaigns, CRM activities, coupon programs, sampling, and display efforts.
  • Develop persuasive sell-in narratives and marketing concepts customized for retailers to support sales teams.
  • Oversee retail messaging and creative collaborations with Brand and Design teams, maintaining consistency across all channels.

  • Manage relationships with retail media and agency partners ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and program optimization.
  • Lead cross-departmental coordination for retail launches and activation projects, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Demand Planning, and external vendors, for successful launch readiness.
  • Maintain retail marketing calendars, launch schedules, project trackers, and critical milestones to keep activities on track.
  • Promote accountability by tracking action items, identifying risks, and ensuring clear project communication across teams.
  • Analyze retail marketing success via point-of-sale, retailer, and market data to identify opportunities and evaluate ROI.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in retail, shopper, or trade marketing within consumer packaged goods.
  • Experience with nationwide or regional retail launches, line evaluations, and retailer activation campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of shopper marketing, retail media, merchandising strategies, and digital shelf optimization.
  • Data-focused approach utilizing POS and retailer insights to assess and enhance marketing initiatives.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven skills to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams without direct supervision.
  • Experience managing agencies, external collaborators, and complex project timelines.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation aptitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related disciplines, or equivalent qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The national target base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $166,000 annually, adjusted to $110,000 to $184,000 for candidates residing in California and the New York metropolitan area based on cost of living and market considerations. Final pay depends on factors such as geographical location, education, experience, qualifications, and job skills. The salary will typically not exceed the mid-point of the established range. In addition to base pay, employees may receive annual performance bonuses, medical, dental, vision coverage, 401K matching, and wellness initiatives.
