Role Overview
This full-time, onsite position located in Cincinnati, OH, entails responsibility for precise reception of incoming materials, matching shipments with purchase orders, and logging any inconsistencies. Duties include preparing shipments for dispatch, packing and labeling products correctly, and liaising with carriers to ensure timely delivery. Daily tasks involve truck unloading, warehouse stock organization, inventory record maintenance, and operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify them against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and documenting appropriately.
- Unload delivery trucks and manage warehouse stock arrangement.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support basic cycle counting activities.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling tools in compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure the workspace remains clean, organized, and adheres to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with shipping and receiving activities including order verification and handling.
- Competence in preparing shipments with correct packing and labeling procedures.
- Understanding of inventory control procedures such as stock rotation and record keeping.
- Ability to safely perform unloading and material handling tasks.
- Forklift operation skills with safety compliance; certification is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and use of warehouse management systems.
- Physical ability to lift materials and stand for long periods in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in warehouse operations is preferred.
