About the Company
OffSec, established in 2007 by the team behind Kali Linux, is a leading provider of cybersecurity training, education, and ongoing professional development. Its hands-on learning model is designed to help organizations close the infosec skills gap by building practical capability in critical security disciplines.
With a remote-first approach, the company supports customers in more than 150 countries and employs team members across 40+ countries. Its global team includes recognized cybersecurity specialists, speakers, and professionals with experience in major private-sector and government organizations.
This is a chance to join a mission-driven, globally distributed organization and contribute to its work from anywhere within the APAC region.
About the Role
The Senior Solution Engineer for APAC is a senior pre-sales technical leader focused on accelerating deals, validating solutions, and shaping technical strategy for enterprise and government customers across the region.
This position sits at the point where commercial goals, technical depth, enterprise stakeholder alignment, and complex sales execution meet. It is a customer-facing role for someone who can confidently lead technical conversations, influence buying decisions, and act as the final technical authority on difficult opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own technical leadership for APAC opportunities throughout the full sales cycle.
- Lead discovery sessions and develop solution approaches tailored to customer needs.
- Convert business and risk challenges into practical workforce and security enablement programs.
- Design solutions for enterprise security workforce initiatives, red team and blue team enablement, and cloud and offensive security learning tracks.
- Serve as the final technical decision-maker on complex deals.
- Work closely with Account Executives on technical qualification, buying committee alignment, and close planning using MEDDPICC principles.
- Shape proof-of-value plans, pilot success measures, and enterprise evaluation criteria.
- Remove technical barriers that could slow down or block a deal.
- Deliver executive-level walkthroughs, live product demonstrations, architecture reviews, capability reviews, and security maturity workshops.
- Tailor messaging for CISOs, CIOs, security architecture leaders, SOC and red team leaders, procurement teams, and risk functions.
- Develop strong market understanding across financial services, government and defense, energy, telecom, and critical infrastructure.
- Act as the technical escalation point for direct sales teams, channel partners, and global system integrators.
- Support partner technical certifications and enablement programs.
- Feed market, customer, and deal insights back to product management, curriculum planning, and certification strategy.
- Spot competitive replacement opportunities, regional compliance needs, and localization requirements across APAC.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, pre-sales or solutions engineering, SOC operations, incident response, red teaming, or security architecture.
- Demonstrated experience presenting to enterprise-level CISO stakeholders and government security decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of offensive and defensive security, cloud security basics, SOC processes, and current threat patterns.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance deal urgency against technical depth.
- Hands-on background in penetration testing, security architecture, threat hunting, or red/blue team leadership is a strong advantage.
- Experience handling enterprise RFPs, tenders, learning platforms, or certification frameworks is preferred.
- OffSec certifications are considered a strong plus.
- Must be commercially astute, technically credible, consultative yet decisive, and focused on results.
- Should be comfortable engaging both executive leaders and technical practitioners.
- Needs a self-directed mindset with strong ownership and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, full-time salaried role. The position is fully remote within APAC and based from a home office, with flexible working hours aligned to deal activity.
Travel is expected for strategic accounts, partner enablement, onsite workshops, and major industry events.
