Role Overview
Join our acclaimed Creative Services team as a Senior Designer, based either in Auckland or Wellington. This is a fixed-term, full-time position where you will influence the way millions of New Zealanders engage with some of the nation's most recognised insurance brands. The role involves delivering varied creative projects — from campaign ideation, digital content creation, video and environmental graphics, to direct customer communications. You will apply strategic insight, artistic creativity, and expert design skills to produce work that enhances brand identity and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop visual ideas that bring marketing, communication, and branding campaigns to life across multiple platforms.
- Produce top-quality design assets for digital media, social channels, email marketing, video, web experiences, environmental graphics, and customer messaging.
- Collaborate closely with copywriters, marketing personnel, and stakeholders to transform briefs into impactful creative solutions for iconic New Zealand brands, including AMI, State, and NZI.
- Confidently present creative concepts and design proposals, fostering stakeholder understanding and support through clear explanations.
- Adhere consistently to brand guidelines while infusing fresh creativity and innovative thinking into each project.
- Effectively manage several projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery of professional-grade creative work.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least five years of experience at a Senior Designer or equivalent level, preferably in an agency or in-house creative team.
- A compelling portfolio demonstrating strong creative thinking, exceptional design execution, and significant campaign accomplishments spanning multiple channels.
- Expert command of typography, layout techniques, visual storytelling, and solid understanding of brand design fundamentals.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud with the ability to deliver work from initial concept through to final production phases.
- Dexterity in presenting creative ideas and working successfully with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Valued skills include video editing, motion graphics, animation, or proficiency in Figma.
- Proactive and cooperative work style, with readiness to contribute across various tasks as needed.
