Job Overview
Join Courtyard by Marriott as a Senior Bartender in Singapore, delivering exceptional guest experiences by expertly preparing beverages and managing bar operations. This full-time onsite role involves direct interaction with guests, supervising supplies, and ensuring smooth bar functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to guest inquiries about wine origins, vintages, and styles in an informative manner.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of all beverage stock and requisition supplies as necessary.
- Perform bottle-for-bottle liquor restocking and communicate last call announcements promptly.
- Mix and prepare drinks accurately according to specific recipes using precise measurement systems.
- Serve wine and champagne by properly opening and pouring bottles for guests.
- Handle cash management duties such as counting the cash bank at shift end, completing cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, securing receipts, and safeguarding the cash bank throughout the shift.
- Maintain security over liquor, beer, wine, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
- Promptly communicate and anticipate replenishment needs to sustain bar readiness.
- Foster teamwork among staff members to ensure efficient bar service.
- Assist management with staffing activities including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, disciplinary actions, motivation, and coaching, serving as a role model.
- Adhere to all company safety and security protocols; report any accidents, injuries, or hazards; and complete necessary safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance while protecting confidential company information and assets.
- Welcome guests warmly according to company standards, anticipate and fulfill their service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Develop and maintain positive workplace relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations consistently.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking throughout shifts; lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds; manipulating objects requiring fine motor skills; navigating confined, elevated, or uneven spaces; bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as needed.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- No prior supervisory experience is required.
- No licensing or certification mandated.
