Scientist - Kilo Lab Scale-up and Manufacturing

Role Overview

The position involves managing manufacturing activities within a scale-up laboratory or pilot plant, ensuring strict adherence to existing manufacturing protocols, good documentation standards, and data integrity policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing operations in the scale-up laboratory and pilot plant.
• Ensure the facility is always prepared and compliant with applicable regulations.
• Monitor and control production processes effectively.
• Coordinate the preparation of essential production master documents such as SOPs, EOPs, and PDRs.
• Document batch activities contemporaneously using electronic notebooks, lab notebooks, or batch manufacturing records in accordance with ALCOA principles.
• Coordinate with the Equipment Asset Management team to keep equipment preventive maintenance and instrument calibrations current.
• Perform calibration checks on instruments including pH meters and weighing balances within the scale-up lab and pilot plant.
• Confirm readiness of equipment, cleanliness standards, and raw material availability before initiating manufacturing runs.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment at all times.
• Update and maintain logbooks and daily checklists consistently.
• Utilize MS Office, Outlook, and other essential software tools proficiently to support routine tasks.
• Collaborate well with colleagues and nurture strong relationships across functional teams.
• Provide shift updates on project and plan statuses to supervisors and management.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
