Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time, onsite School Teacher at AIT's Accra campus. Responsibilities include designing and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the university's curriculum and academic standards, incorporating diverse teaching methods and technology-enhanced instruction. The teacher will evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback, keep precise attendance and performance records, and foster students' academic and personal growth. Participation in faculty meetings, curriculum development, and professional development activities is required, as is collaboration with colleagues to improve instructional quality and student success. Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment and complying with university policies and quality assurance measures are also essential.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Educational background in Education or a related discipline, including appropriate teaching certifications or degrees.
• Expertise in teaching and training diverse learner groups and facilitating their academic advancement.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum execution, and deploying a variety of instructional and assessment tools.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey concepts and interact effectively with students, peers, and guardians.
• Classroom management capabilities and dedication to fostering an inclusive, learner-centered setting.
• Experience with educational technologies and online learning platforms is a significant advantage.
• Previous teaching experience at the secondary or tertiary level, particularly in STEM or technology fields, is preferred.
